IBC Ministries - Media
The name 'Media Ministry' may be slightly misleading. Everybody
seems to mean a different thing when talking about "Media". There
is New Media, and Multimedia or Print
Media. 'Media' is plural for 'medium'
- an agent for transmitting a message between senders and receivers. In
today's visual world, messages are sent creatively - be that in advertisement
or TV or print. Those forced to just 'sit and listen' become quickly bored
with what is being presented. That's why successful media is narrative
in form, engaging the audience on multiple levels through visual and aural
IBC's media ministry is tasked with using the means of modern technologies
to get the message across. Be it print-flyer and brochures, online content
like this website or an interactive CD Rom or a sermon supported through
PowerPoint, video clips or flash presentations - we want to get the attention
of people on the inside and outside of IBC and get the message across.
What message? That Church is not really about getting fed and being
IBC is more than anything about integration, participation and
involvement! We believe that media provides us with effective
tools to reach out to
our congregation, the city and the world!
