Introduction
IBC Kids is closed. Due to stricter lockdown rules, we will try to resume working with our kids on March 7th. But everything depends on restrictions of the public health authorities.
During this time we will continue to provide free solutions to help you stay personally connected with your child through strategic digital experiences. These include teaching & worship videos, parent/child conversation guides, activities, and so much more—all with the goal of giving kids and parents the opportunity to engage within their homes with IBC Kids.
These resources are intended to be downloaded and printed for use by the subscribing entity (IBC Hamburg) only and may not be electronically transferred to or duplicated by other non-subscribing entities. From now on there will be a change in the division of our groups which affects particularly the age group division of Junior Teens & 7’Ups:
- 7’Ups (7-9 years old)
- Junior Teens (10-12 years old)
- NEW: Teens Ministry (13-15 years old). With Sharon & Flora.
Parents Preview February
Bubbles (0-3 years old) & Bouncies (4-6 years old)
Dear Parents, It’s February! God made us for love—the greatest love. He made that clear when He sent His Son, Jesus, to show us how to give and receive His love.
When Jesus walked the Earth, He was God’s love in the flesh. Jesus showed us time and time again that He loves us. That’s why our focus this month is the powerful truth Jesus loves me. We were all made for His love! And that is why we chose 'The Big Sandbox' for the theme. We want every child to know that Jesus is their friend and He is inviting them—all of them—to join Him, because He loves them. Everyone can play in "The Big Sandbox"!
In a world where people and circumstances can easily make a person feel unloved, it is our desperate prayer that we can equip our Bubbles and Bouncies with the powerful truth that Jesus loves me. We want our preschoolers to live life knowing and believing—never doubting—that they are loved by the greatest love, and nothing will ever change that. After all, this is what they were made for—they were made for His love.
7’Ups (7-9 years old) & Preteens (10-12 years old)
We kick off the month of February with something Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:32. Be kind and tender to one another. Forgive one another, just as God forgave you because of what Christ has done, (NIrV). Even when we were separated from God, He showed us kindness through sending Jesus to rescue us and model what kindness can look like in our lives.
Bottom Line: Be kind to others because God is kind to you. As we follow Jesus and look for ways to reflect His love to the people around us, kindness is one of the easiest ways to do that. God was so incredibly kind to us, that we can’t help but to be kind to the people we meet.

- Bubbles & Bouncies - February Week 3
Story Focus: Jesus wants to help me. Week three, we will see another way that Jesus showed His love for us in the way He helped a Centurion. This man was not one of Jesus’ typical followers, but he had heard about the amazing things Jesus could do. So, he asked Jesus for help. And, Jesus helped the man, because He loved him. We want our Bubbles and Bouncies to hear this story and know, 'Jesus will help me', because Jesus loves me. Why? Because every child was made for His love.
- 7’Ups - February Week 3
For week three, we head to Matthew 5:41. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus taught: Suppose someone forces you to go one mile. Go two miles with them, (NIrV). To us that might sound strange, but to those listening—not so much. Roman soldiers could force them to carry their pack for a full mile. Jesus reminds His followers to go above and beyond in how they respond to others.
Bottom Line: Be kinder than you have to be. Often kindness can feel like an obligation. Because of that, we tend to do the bear minimum when it comes to showing kindness. What if we helped our 7’Ups look at it differently? What if helped them see that kindness can be extravagant and unexpected. It’s that sort of kindness that can change people’s hearts and show them how much God loves them.
