Parents Preview for May 2022
Preschoolers will ask questions countless times as they get to know the world around them. It’s like they’re beginning a lifelong Scavenger Hunt. This is the perfect opportunity for us to not only tell them what they are looking at but Who made it as well. That’s why we are going to add another question to their inquisitive minds. Who made everything? Who made the red ladybug? Who made the grey rocks? The white clouds? The blue bird? We want preschoolers to know that God made everything. We want them to think of God as they explore and get to know this wonderful, colorful world we live in. And even more, we want them to know that the same God who made everything made them and loves them.
7’Ups (7-9 years old) & Preteens (10-12 years old)
God is strong and faithful, always working in our lives. We might get knocked down from time to time, but when we put our trust in God, we find the strength we need to get back up again. Jesus showed us how to face life with resilience. No matter what happened, Jesus relied on God to help Him accomplish the mission set before Him. Because of Jesus, we can trust God no matter what. We can bounce back from whatever knocks us down and complete the mission God has for us.

Introduction
Here are our weekly video presentations that go along with our current First Look (Bubbles & Bouncies) and 252 Kids (7’Ups & Preteens) curriculum. Bubbles & Bouncies (Toddlers + Preschoolers) - May Week 1
Story Focus: On days one and two, God made the light and dark and sky and water. We will begin the month way back at the beginning, on days one and two of creation, when God made light, dark, sky and water. When darkness falls or our preschoolers look up to the sky, they can know that God made everything, and it is good.
7’Ups (7-9 years old) - May Week 1
We start our month in Matthew 28:16-20 and Acts 1-2. Right before God takes Jesus back to heaven, Jesus gave His disciples an incredible task: tell the world about Him and share His love with others. This task wouldn’t be easy, but Jesus promised He would send the Holy Spirit to help. When the Holy Spirit did come at Pentecost, the Spirit gave the disciples power to accomplish the task Jesus set out for them.
Bottom Line: God is always with you. Kids are just beginning to learn that there are parts of life we have to do independently. From our school work to household chores to getting up to bat, it’s all on us to get it done. This realization can be overwhelming for anyone. Thankfully, we’re not on our own when it comes to resilience. God is always with us and can give us the drive to bounce back and keep going to finish what needs to be done.
Preteens (10-12 years old) - May Week 1
Key Question: When have you felt alone? Discovering the stamina to show resilience can be difficult, especially when you feel like you’re on your own. We start a conversation with preteens about the times they’ve felt alone to help them realize that they’re never really alone: God is with them and can give them the strength needed to get through whatever they face.
